What is technology?

•Technology is like a tool that anyone can use to make life better The hidden message for technology is like "use me to make your life better."
-example: is like i have a ruler and the hidden message of the ruler is "use me to measure.

Good things about Technology is that some technology is portable so you could have fun where ever you go at anytime in your life. Technology is also useful by helping us work on homework or a school project. Technology can be better than anything else in the world but at the same time technology can do something wrong. Sometimes technology can tell us to do something or not. When there is a new advance technology out the older technology is going to be like ignore. We all forget about other things when we have the new advance technology.

There are lots of negative sides of technology that we dont often notice because technology could make people distracted, make us do wrong things and in some ways where technology does not help us. Technology can control us by making us just focusing on the technology not other things around us that are important. Also technology can make people fight for a technology that they want to use. Sometimes when people fight over technology it affects the way that act towards each other and that would cause alot of caos and difference in the world. If youd don't pay attention to what you need in life not what you want it would be alot easier and its not like the technology takes alot of affect on you. Think of the things you really need in life sometimes u need to leave the technology alone like with your family it should always come first over you wanting to play your game or something spend time with them and then think about playing on it.
-example: when i was just on the computer talking to my friends, my mom told me to do something for her. Then i told her ok but then Technology took over and made me forget to do what my mom told me to do for her. The more Techonolgy we use it makes us become more dumber by making us be more interested in the Technology and not other important things.

Plate Tectonic Theory

• The Plate tectonic Theory was created by having the idea of continental drift. continental drift is where theres plates moving to form things. three are three different ways how plates in, they are Convergent Boundary, Divergent Boundary and Transform Boundary.

Convergent Boundary is when the plates collide to form mountains or landforms. when two plates move the hotter one will want to go up to the top because the particles are bouncing very fast so it can cool down. also when theres crack in the plates magma come to fill it in and this is called subduction.


Divergent Boundary is when the plates move apart from each other.


Transform Boundary is when the plates grind past each other to create earthquakes into the earth. Mostly in the Transform plate Boundary there will be many earthquakes.

• The earth has four layers, they are: crust, mantle, outer core, inner core.

Crust is also known as lithosphere. Crust is the thiniest layer and crust is made out of rocks and plates.

Mantle is made out of magma and mantle is the thickiest layer on the earth. Mostly Convection currents happens in the mantle.

Outer Core is liquid metal and the outer core causes magnetic field.

Inner Core is Solid metal and the inner core is dense.

Conferences Update[:

I learned many things this quarter such as the differences between laws and theories and how science works. I also learned what is a Dichotomous key, a Dichotomous key is a series of paired statements (yes or no questions) that helps identify species or something. I think i should work a little more harder in class. One thing i like about this class is that we get to work with groups or partners. I like how we work on the computer for things. Here is a video when we worked on the "Clay Boats."

We had a piece of clay and we and we had to figure out how to make a boat with that clay and put it in water to see if the clay boat would float or not with marbles on top of the boats.

Earthquakes.

An earthquake is like when two blocks of the earth move past each other and the surface slips and this is called a "fault". Then sometimes the earth has foreshocks. while the earth is shaking when there is a earthquake the edges of the plates are stuck together, the blocks are still moving and the energy that causes the blocks to move pass each other is being stored up. Earthquakes are natrual disasters that can kill millions of poeple and also distroy cities and countries. An earthquake occurs when plate grinds and hit each other.

While an earthquake errupts the ground shakes and cracks in the earth being to form. Scientist or People use seismographs to record earthquakes. When they record a earthquake the seismograph shakes on the ground along with the Earthquake but the hanging weight does not shake with it. Scientists cannot predit when a earthquake is gonna happen soon because they have tried many different ways to predit when a earthquake is gonna happen but it never been successful. They say earthquakes are caused by "Plate Tectonics".

My Topic is about The Water Cycle.

There are like four main important parts of the water cycle.

evaporation condensation preciptation collection. evaporation is like when the sun heats up water from lakes rivers or oceans and causes the water vapor to go up into the air. condensation is where the water vapor turns back into a liquid forming it to turn into clouds. preciptation is where the clouds get very heavy that water falls from the clouds turing them to rain, sleet, hail or even snow. collection is where all the water return back into lakes, rivers, and oceans. it will also soak into the earth and then the water becomes part of "ground water". Also the whole process starts all over again.
